What is a drawn cup needle roller bearing?

The needle roller bearing is a bearing with a very small radial dimension. It is characterized by a thin-walled deep-drawn sheet metal housing and a needle roller and cage assembly. The needle roller bearing has a high radial load capacity and can achieve equally high speeds. It is press-fitted into the housing without any further fastening.

Most needle nose sockets are single row and without a grease hole. These bushings can be bottomed or bottomless, bottomless bushings are the most common. Where and when are they used?

What are the different types of drawn cup needle roller bearing?

There are mainly three types of needle cases.

1. Open sockets with non-contiguous needles that have the prefix "HK".
2. Open sockets with joined needles that have the prefix "HN".
3. Sockets that are closed on one side and have the prefix "BK".

Bottomless sockets can be non-sealed (no suffix), sealed on one side (RS suffix) or sealed on both sides (2RS suffix). For sockets with a bottom, they can be non-sealed or sealed on one side only. The sealed side is the one that is open and the suffix to determine this remains "RS".
